Dual-Camera Action
We’re looking at a 16MP camera in the rear with a 2.1MP shooter on the front. Shutter speeds supposedly clock in at .03 second, which Samsung claims is the fastest of any mobile on the market. The HDR mode adds sharpness to images, while the new Selective Focus feature makes it possible to capture DSLR-esque shots. Of course, this is all from the company’s mouth.
Advanced Wireless Performance
It will be the first smartphone to support Wi-Fi MIMO, opening the lane to nearly double Wi-Fi connection speeds. The GS5 comes equipped with a new feature dubbed Download Booster that is capable of splitting a download over WiFi and LTE when both are available to speed up the download process–taking on what looks to be a max of 400Mbps. Very innovative.
