When you hear Halo, the first thing that comes to mind is the FPS that made the Xbox gaming console what it is today. Microsoft’s flagship video game was originally developed by Bungie and is now managed by 343 Industries, while remaining a property of the PC giant. Gamers have basked in a number of sequels and spin-offs on the console front over the past several years, but never once took in the experience on a mobile platform. It was only a matter of time, folks.

Microsoft went on to announce an exclusive Halo title for its Windows Phone 8 and Windows 8 tablet devices, titled Spartan Assault. Little did we know how much fun a Halo game could be on a smartphone/tablet. So has the team over at 343 Industries fully succeeded in providing us the winning elements of a Halo console game on a mobile device? Check out our Spartan Assault review and find out.
