Sony’s had an uphill battle with the PlayStation Vita. It’s become clearly evident with the handheld’s lack of titles and awkward control scheme, which has turned numerous gamers away from it. Though with the PS4 scheduled for a holiday season and the Vita working hand-in-hand with the next-gen console, momentum for the portable is picking up, along with its gaming catalog. And for shooting fans looking to get the bad taste of Call of Duty Black Ops: Declassified out their system, Sony Computer Entertainment has something savoring on hand with Killzone: Mercenary.
Even though the Killzone franchise has achieved moderate success on the console front, consumers are still on the fence wondering if Sony can pull off a quality FPS for their struggling handheld. So has Sony finally created a shooter capable of showcasing the portable’s full potential? Let’s see how Mercenary holds up on the PS Vita.
