Word came out last week that Toyata has plans of showcasing a new concept car at the 2013 Frankfurt Auto Show—taking performance cues from the automaker’s Yaris Hybrid, while tackling the technology found on its TS030 Hybrid Le Mans prototype. The rumored Toyota Hybrid-R looks to be unveiled in road-car form in the next couple of weeks and support a powerful powertrain that should be “combining an internal combustion engine with an unspecified number of electric motors” pushing the car past 400hp. Another awesome feature on the hybrid will be a dual-mode control system, which should help drivers cruise better on the road or track. September 10th couldn’t come any sooner.
