The origins of civilization have been explored and debated for centuries. Obviously, Scott doesn’t have the all the answers, only is own interpretation. And best believe he knows how to create some great fiction from it. Expect some education on the beginnings of man without submitting to the boredom of a classroom environment. Who said films aren’t enlightening?
Sequel Possibility
Hollywood’s always at work on getting a sequel off the ground for any of its premature blockbusters. With so many ties to the Alien universe and unpredictable story elements, Prometheus seems poised to continue the legend of the Space Jockey, xenomorph, or the unknown origins of humanity. Now that a franchise has been
establish: Does this leave the gates open for audiences to see Guy Pearce’s character, Peter Weyland, suit up for the next ride? Or maybe another familiar android assigned by Weyland Industries to join a new group of space archeologists? We’re sure Fox (and hopefully Scott) is already mapping out storyboards for some sort of follow-up or spin-off.
