Alien Prequel/Fifthquel Myth

Let’s get to the meat and potatoes of the argument. Dating back to 2002, Fox tapped Ridley Scott to create a fifth Alien film. And he was onboard, along with Aliens director James Cameron, who was supposedly working on the story. Then the studio shifted gears and chose to developed the Alien vs. Predator series instead (read the entire fiasco here). Look how great that turned out. It’s been documented that the original synopsis for Prometheus was billed as a prequel to the 1979 classic, set 30 years before the events that transpired on the Nostromo. The plot was revised, this time expanding on the mythology of an infamous life form that is linked to the origin of human civilization, while taking place in the same universe.
