Exclusive Games and Content
The Xbox One will launch 15 exclusives within its first year of launch, 8 being brand new IPs. Two newly announced titles showcased were the launch-ready Forza Motorsport 5 and Quantum Break—a live-action game that looks to blend TV and gaming together, while pushing the limits of developer Remedy’s bullet time technology. In addition, Microsoft proclaimed Activision will provide DLC for Call of Duty: Ghosts DLC on the Xbox One first.
That’s just the gaming end. Microsoft looks to expand into the entertainment market and produce exclusive content for the platform. A live-action Halo TV series is coming down the pipe with Steve Spielberg attached to the Xbox Entertainment Studios project. An exclusive partnership with the NFL has also been reached, making it easier for gamers to engage in fantasy football and enhance the viewing experience. You’ll be able to see fantasy stats in real time, also perform other activities simultaneously like Skype a friend and trash talk.
