If the name rings a bell, it’s probably because Maserati showcased a Kubang concept back in 2003 at the Detroit Auto Show. With nearly 8 years passing without so much as a tire tread of info leaking about this re-imagined SUV, many expected to experience the ultra luxurious Kubang in all its production model glory. What we got instead was an entirely different concept. The mavericks over at Maserati have taken a very lax attitude towards their exceedingly late entry. Though there’s still no time frame slated for the Kubang, the Modena-based auto company does promise that the SUV “will all be 100% Maserati in picture-perfect continuity with the brand’s core values of sportiness, style, elegance, luxury, performance and craftsmanship.”
