Team Ninja plans on releasing Ninja Gaiden 3 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 early next year, but the developer also plans on a dropping a Wii U version titled Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge. Head developer Yosuke Hayashi spoke with Siliconera and spoke about the upcoming hack-n-slash:
“Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge is still Ninja Gaiden 3, but we plan to utilize the new controller for the Wii U to do new things…You may remember Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword for the Nintendo DS, we’re thinking implementing that kind of action and gameplay in an enhanced way for Wii U using the controller’s touch screen.”
The developing company customized a unique control scheme for it’s DS rendition, Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword, and the title was received well by critics. Let’s see if Team Ninja can catch lightening in a bottle once again.
