So talks of Amazon releasing a smartphone predate back to last year, though it was unknown whether the online retail goliath would manufacturer the handset or hire a popular mobile staple to tackle on such duties. According to the Financial Times, HTC looks to be the company that will produce its upcoming handsets. Word is both tech giants are working on three devices, with one in the “advanced stage of development.” Neither company has confirmed these rumors, meaning we can take this with a grain of salt until an official announcement is made. Considering its previous collaborations with Beats and Facebook, we’re afraid to see where this new partnership is headed. What? Somebody had to say it.
