Vivo Xplay 3S Quad HD Smartphone

Smartphones with higher resolution than Apple’s Retina Display aren’t a rarity, as the HTC One proved with its stunning 1080p panel. But a handset that crushes the iPad’s pixel-per-inch output is definitely a one of a kind. The new Quad HD smartphone, also known as the Vivo Xplay 3S, is capable of producing such results: 2,560 x 1,440 pixels to be exact from its 5.5-inch Quad HD panel. The LG-made display is rumored to produce close to 538 ppi, which looks to be driven by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800 CPU. While only available in China, no official details (pricing, specs, release date) have been divulged as of yet. Guess the next question is when other mobile staples like Apple, HTC, Motorola, Nokia, and Samsung will jump on the Quad HD bandwagon. Though we see Sony jumping the gun before everyone else.
