Nokia Normandy

Is Nokia really set to launch its own Android offering? Strong possibility. Since the recent acquisition of the Finnish telecommunications company by Microsoft has yet to be finalized, the codenamed “Normandy” might see a market release. Granted hearsay says it will run a forked version of Google’s software, the mid-ranged device should provide standard specs such as a 4-inch WVGA display, dual-SIM capability, 5MP camera, 4GB of internal memory, and microSD card slot. Rumblings also indicate that we could see an interface similar to the Metro UI featured on Windows Phone 8. Oh yea, it looks to be available in up to six colors as well.

LG’s phablet successor is poised for a hardware upgrade with a 6-inch panel (1080p) speculated to sit in front of the handset. On top of supporting faster LTE-A networks and a Snapdragon 800 processor, the G Pro 2 will most likely carry over the G2’s software features like QSlide multitasking. Chances of KitKat coming straight out the box seem slim, though the latest Jelly Bean update is likely at this moment. Still not to shabby.
