During the Metroid Prime 3: Corruption trailer, you’ll notice blueprints for what the game says is “future” plans for an Aurora Unit complex, though closer inspection shows that it shares an identical layout to Mother Brain’s chamber in Super Metroid. With Prime 3 taking place before the SNES game, Samus is looking at the future area where she will fight Mother brain years later.
