While there lies some uncertainty behind the Wii U’s Gamecube compatibility, mod expert Techknott took the initiative to keep the little purple box alive by creating a portable disc-less version of the Nintendo console. The system runs ROMS off SD cards and is about 1.5 times bigger than the standard GC controller. Here’s some footage of the portable device in action.
