At Nintendo’s 2010 Media Summit, the company talked about Team Ninja’s approach on their superbly looking 2D/3D shooter: Metroid: Other M. Nintendo claims the game will take a “dramatic new direction for a legendary franchise and a bold new blend between cinematics, storytelling and the best in interactive entertainment.” They also promised gamers that they’ll finally hear Samus speak via voice acting, along with an “engaging” backstory that takes place on the shut down Bottle Ship. Wii owners will bask in both side scrolling and first-person action, as system’s controls will utilize both motion sensor mechanics, as well as some button mashing for old school fans.
Metroid: Other M is slated to hit US retailers on June 27. Until then, take a look at these ridiculous screens…
