First it was Marvin Martian and now Speedy Gonzales is geting his own live-action CG animated film. Heat Vision claims “Garfield” scribers Alec Sokolow and Joel Cohen have been tapped to write the script, set in the present day where Speedy goes a soul searching mission to discover what he’s really meant to do. George Lopez (such a stereotypical move) has been cast to do the voiceover and will also produce the film alongside Anne Lopez, Lynette Ramirez, Jerry Weintraub, Tracy Ryerson and Jill Arthur.
