Italy’s Official PlayStation Magazine claims Sony is working on a legitimate fourth sequel to its beloved PS One action-spy game, Syphon Filter, and plans on releasing it sometime Winter 2012. You might remember this past E3 when Sony accidentally posted the game title on the big screen, then removed it: revealing the title was being developed by Sony Bend and would run on a new engine by SCE London. Another rumor surfaced previously throwing around the title Syphon Filter 5 and attaching PCB Productions to the project, too, who are supposedly working on facial motion capture for the game. And to solidify these claims, Sony has registered several Syphon Filter-related domains: including SyphonFilter-Game.com, SyphonFilterAgency.com, SyphonFilterCommand.com, SyphonFilterHq.com and SyphonFilterOps.com. Expect to Sony to make an official announcement at next week’s Tokyo Game Show 2011.
