Instagram has already sent out media invites for its New York City event next week, which came via FedEx instead of a traditional email. The package also included a small wooden bloc with a printed Instagram picture on it that features a hanging slot on the back, leading us to believe the social photo-sharing platform will make Instagram photos available for print through this method.
But that might not be the only major announcement the Facebook subsidiary has up its sleeve. Word is the company will roll out its private messaging service to compete with Snapchat and Whatsapp, though it remains speculation for now. The event is schedule for 10 a.m. on December 12h.
