Sir Ian McKellan dropped nothing but surprises at this weekend’s Lord of the Rings Marathon screening at London’s BFI IMAX cinema. First, he’ll be reprising his role as the grey haired wizard, Gandalf. Second, he’s re-read the finalized script of The Hobbit and expects his copy within a month. Third, the film is set to shoot in March 2010 in New Zealand. Finally, Bilbo AKA The Hobbit has been casted, and fans will be “pleased”.
McKellan didn’t reveal who will play the title role, and many people are speculating these could just be rumors. They sound pretty official though.
