It seems like Microsoft’s mobile operating system can’t catch a break these days. First Instagram blocked all Windows Phone third-party apps from accessing its API, now Google seems to be taking its own actions against the platform—blocking the new YouTube app from its service. The search engine giant released a statement to The Verge stating the following: “Microsoft has not made the browser upgrades necessary to enable a fully-featured YouTube experience, and has instead re-released a YouTube app that violates our Terms of Service. It has been disabled. We value our broad developer community and therefore ask everyone to adhere to the same guidelines.”

Microsoft claims to be working on resolving the issue: “Google is blocking our updated YouTube app for Windows Phone,” says a Microsoft spokesperson. “We are working with them to resolve the issue.”

We’ll keep you posted on the developments.
