WCW WrestleWar ’91

Year: 1991
Must-watch match: The Four Horsemen (Ric Flair, Barry Windham, Sid Vicious) and Larry Zbyszko (with Arn Anderson) vs. Sting, Brian Pillman, and the Steiner Brothers.
Remember the time Sid Vicious nearly killed Brian Pillman in the ring by powerboming him right on his neck? Brutal. Funny thing is the self-proclaimed “Master and Ruler of the World” asked Pullman if he was OK before giving him yet another drop to the mat. The rest of the card might be trash, but the WarGames main event makes it a must-watch as the format proved to be much more entertaining than the traditional Survivor Series matches.

Mike Awesome vs Masato Tanaka – ECW One Night… by fabxtreme88

ECW One Night Stand 2005

Year: 2005
Must-watch match: Mike Awesome vs Masato Tanaka
After WWE acquired the house that Paul Heyman built, the property collected dust in a vault for several years until Vince McMahon came up with the idea of doing a one time-only reunion show featuring ECW originals. The end result would be One Night Stand, a timeless event that resurrected the maniacal brilliance of the promotion and remained the proprietary’s best PPV for more than half a decade. Seriously. Any program featuring Taz, Sabu, Rob Van Dam, Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, Chris Jericho, Lance Storm, Tommy Dreamer, Sandman, and The Dudleys deserves the accolades. It’s even more pleasing to see two Japanese hardcore legends steal the show.
