WCW Spring Stampede ‘94

Year: 1994
Must-watch match: Ric Flair vs. Ricky Steamboat
Before all of WWE’s main staples jumped ship to Ted Turner’s promotion, WCW was hitting a stride with its talent and TV programming. Spring Stampede was living proof of its high-quality wrestling as the PPV featured some of the most entertaining and intense matches in the company’s history. This would be one of the last times we see Steve Austin in a WCW ring, putting on a notable contest against the Great Muta for the United States belt, where as Sting and Rick Rude hit the mat hard during their Intercontinental Championship bout. But it’s Flair and Steamboat who end up garnering the spotlight and put on a time-honored exhibition that sadly ends in a no-contest for the World Title.

Living Dangerously 1999 – RVD vs Jerry Lynn by Kapitas

Living Dangerously ’99

Year: 1999
Must-watch match: Jerry Lynn vs. Rob Van Dam
The rivalry between Heavyweight Champion Tazz and FTW Champion Sabu was heating up, and both wrestlers put on a brutal classic with Sabu passing out from the Tazmission—leading to the unification of both titles. ECW workhorses Super Crazy and Tajiri showcased their wild in-ring acrobatics, while the Dudleys took an L from little brother Spike after tag team partner Nova suffered an injury and was replaced by Sid Vicious. However, the real main event took place earlier in the show with Jerry Lynn and Rob Van Dam went the limit and past the 20-minute mark, only to return for an extra five and determine a winner.
