The Not-So-Popular Cast
With an ensemble that consists of Megan Fox, William Fichtner, Whoopi Goldberg, Will Arnett, and a bunch of no-names playing the foursome–this looks weak on paper. And what’s up with Johnny Knoxville providing vocal work for Leonardo…really? It seems like the only positive here is Tony Shaloub voicing Splinter. Fox is easy on the eyes no doubt, but she isn’t exactly anyone’s first choice as intrepid New York reporter April O’Neil. The least they could have done is find an actress capable of pulling off intelligence and doesn’t already have baggage with Michael Bay. Also, the names tied to the role of the turtles and Splinter doesn’t exactly facilitate great expectations. And when it comes to the casting of Whoopi Goldberg and William Fichtner, simply makes audiences wonder why they are in this at all.
