Watch Dogs

7. Watch Dogs

Publisher/Developer: Ubisoft/Ubisoft Montreal
Platform: PS3, PS4, PC, Xbox One, and Xbox 360

For nearly two years, Ubisoft left gamers fiending to get their hands on the hacker, adventure-based IP. Placing you in the shoes of a criminal hacker who makes his way through the massive open world of Chicago with a goal of stealing personal info and secrets—through a smartphone at that—Watch Dogs plays out like a Hollywood espionage film, only with more wild action and scenarios thrown into the mix. The single-player campaign is entertaining, but the real fun comes when venturing online to play against others across the globe, each one partaking in competitive battles such as “Decryption Combat.” Did it supersede all expectations? Not quite. However, it’s made for one hell of a virtual trip that’s toyed with everyone’s emotions in terms of public security.
