At San Diego Comic-Con last week, Wesley Snipes sat down to talk with MTV about his upcoming role in The Expendables 3, which is set for release in theaters on August 15th. After being convicted for tax evasion charges in 2010 and serving his three-year sentence, Snipes says he’s open to reprising his role of the vampire-slayer in what could possibly be Blade 4.

Snipes told MTV, “We have some stones left unturned…I’d love to get back in the suit again and do some things that I’ve learned to do now that I didn’t know how to do then. I think we’re better at making that kind of a film now.” This enthusiasm may come as a surprise to some considering he tried to strangle director David Goyer during the production of Blade: Trinity in 2004. Nevertheless, the three films have raked in over $400 million worldwide, so there is no question that they have been successful in the past.

Some have suggested that instead of continuing the series, a remake of the previous films is in order. With Snipes returning to the industry after jail-time, who is to say what the future holds for the franchise?
