Overkill, the developers behind Payday 2, have announced they’re working on a new co-op Walking Dead game. Creator Robert Kirkman talked on Steam about his love for Overkill and Starbreeze, stating that this game will be the “co-op game that all of The Walking Dead fans have been waiting for.” It has been further explain that the game will feature elements of action, role-playing, and survival stealth games to fully explore The Walking Dead universe. Also, the game will take place in Washington instead of the traditional Georgian setting known to fans.

Overkill, reportedly, will have full control over the games creation and “unprecedented crossovers” between the game and Payday 2. To celebrate the recent collaboration, Overkill announced a special weapon to be added to Payday 2, the “Lucille” bad from the zombie comic series.

The game will drop sometime in 2016 to unknown platforms, but Overkill was quick to say that it will be supported with free updates as well as paid DLC.
