Get ready for a Spongebob and TMNT mash-up. Ok, let’s not give Nickelodeon any ideas. But that didn’t stop Nick from purchasing the global rights to the Turtles franchise from The Mirage Group and 4Kids Entertainment. Reportedly sold for $60 million, the house built on sliming parents and young teens will own the film, video game and any other ventures surrounding the property. With this transaction comes the announcement of an all-new CG-animated TV series and feature film for 2012. Could the Leo, Ralph, Mike and Don get watered down to turtle soup any more?
