Bridging the gap between hydrogen and hybrid, Mercedes-Benz’s future speedster is a clear example of where auto production will lead going into the year 2025. Aside from its aluminum, carbon fiber, and high-strength polymer finish, the F125 concept supports hybrid electric/hydrogen propulsion with a four electric motor and an e4MATIC all-wheel-drive. It’s capable of pushing 0 to 60 mph in 4.9 seconds with a top speed of 137 mph. Touch, speech, and gesture controls can supposedly be monitored on the car’s 3D and projector-beam displays, plus it’s expected to have full Internet integration. Of course, the biggest standout here is Mercedes lightweight, patented gull-wing doors that open up: DeLorean-style. If only we could travel forward in time for this one. Pricing, as expected is TBA.
