Though it was the biggest grossing and critically acclaimed Superman film, it seems Superman Returns did not live up to the expectations of Warner Bros. or the DC fans. So with talks of a revamped sequel in the works, the question is if the man who donned the S on his chest, Brandon Routh, will return for the next entry.
Routh spoke with Omelete.com recently about his not so good looking future as the man of steel:
“The contract term has expired. But if they call me again, [I would go] back to the character without thinking twice…I do not know of anything. I’m sure that Warner Bros. is moving there, but everything is still uncertain. Really, I do not know anything.”
That’s kind of crappy, but kudos to Warner Bros. if they can get another actor who looks even remotely close to Christopher Reeves.
