Audi Urban Spyder Concept
The German manufacturer is looking light years into the future with its Urban and Urban Spyder vehicles. This trippy, e-powered two-seater was designed for congested city driving and weighs in at only 1000 lbs. Its conceptual design may not appeal to luxury car owners, but this grown-up soapbox promises a one-of-a-kind driving experience that is sure to accommodate its bizarre, yet exceptional look.
Audi R8 e-Tron
Not to be undone by rival German manufacturer BMW and its i8 e-vehicle, Audi showcased the latest reiteration of the all-electric R8 e-Tron to a huge ovation at this year’s Frankfurt show. The high capacity lithium-ion battery pack, situated behind the passenger cabin, can reportedly run for 154 miles on a single charge and the accompanying four electric motors are able to generate 313 hp at a jaw dropping 3,319 lb/ft of torque: producing an acceleration rate of 0-60 acceleration in 4.8 seconds. Needless to say, it’s fast, and gorgeous.
