The one thing fans do know, is that Mass Effect 4 is in the works. What we don’t know is if the company will bring back Captain Shepard. Developers have made statements that fans will see acquaintances of Shepard in the game, and since these are people that have had a big part of the story with him, it has fans questioning, and will we see Shepard?
Mass Effect 3 had it hard with fans being so pissed off about the ending. Now BioWare did its best to make it up to the players by adding the Extended Cut and DLC’s. Now the company shouldn’t have a problem adding Shepard, since players had an ending in ME3 where he actually lived. The company left an opening, where bringing him back wouldn’t make for an easy process. This could be a good way for the company to get back in good with the fans after the ME3 fiasco.
