Sam Raimi is on board to direct the big screen incarnation of arguably the most popular MMO since EQ (original) and UO – World of Warcraft. Raimia, from the Spider Man trilogy and most recently Drag me to Hell fame will helm the the live action film slated for 2011 named simply “Warcraft.”
With 3 hugely popular RTS titles, numerous novels and of course the ever evolving online worlds of Azeroth and the Outlands, Raimi has plenty of lore and story lines to work with; though the fanboys should expect him to take some extreme creative liberties with the plot.
