NetherRealm Studios continues to spoil us with announcements, this time unveiling the latest character in Mortal Kombat X: Quan Chi.
The powerful sorcerer and necromancer is set to make a return to the main roster of playable characters. The trailer revealed the differences between the three unique fighting styles that Quan Chi will have access to, which consist of Sorcerer, Warlock and Summoner. Each will play drastically different from each other to provide even mirror matches with a unique spin.
The Sorcerer style uses a mix of support and trap style skills, generally to keep Quan Chi ahead of his opponent, where as the Warlock style uses portals, and extend the range of certain attacks and skills to create a hard to read combo set up. Finally, Summoner allows Quan Chi to summon beasts from the Neatherealm to aid him in fights. So it definitely seems the studio is trying to up the game’s hype and are definitely succeeding at it.
