If The Green Lantern’s opening weekend numbers weren’t disappointing enough, then the 65% drop in its second week should have had Warner Bros. waving the white flag. But hey, that’s not stopping the film studio from moving forward with their initial plans for the DC franchise. It’s been reported that plans for a sequel have already been greenlit with writers Greg Berlanti, Michael Green, and Marc Guggenheim returning to pen the follow-up. Whether to keep potential fan anticipation up or the criticism down, lets just hope Hal Jordan’s second big-screen adventure works better than its predecessor.
