Newest Updates

You already know Ryu isn’t the only playable character, but there a few faces new to the scene: including Rachel from the original game, Ayane best known from the DOA series, and Momiki from Dragon Sword. The game also features costumes from the PS3 version, meaning gamers can go nuts decking female warriors out in sexy outfits.

Online play has been enhanced to where two players can get it in co-op, which is necessary when engaging in any of the four difficulty settings. Be sure to grab an experienced bud to complete these missions, picking from 10 different stages and seeing who can rank highest.

Graphics-wise, Sigma 2 Plus looks beautifully rendered with full HD 1080p support. The Japanese life in the backdrops look like something out of an art museum, as you’ll notice the wind pushing the cherry blossoms back and forth, which seem surreal at times. Not to mention some of the other detailed effects from the blood to the landscaping.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus Difficulty

Difficult as Sh*T

We’re all familiar with how difficult Ninja Gaiden II was, to the point where Team Ninja had to bring it down a notch. Well, quitters, take heed to our words, as this installment is just as hard. You’ll have to be fast and well aware of incoming enemies, as focusing on one will lead to death…on numerous occasions. There were actually times I caught myself yelling at the Vita saying, “OMG, would you just freaking die!” Oh yea, that’s just the standard ninjas. Boss battles are far worse. Ducking, flipping, and dodging incoming attacks become protocol when in battle, but there will be times when you land and notice a flick of damage had just be inflicted on the opposition. A rage quit was in full succession, thought after an hour my Vita was calling me.
