Reports out from Germany suggest Porsche is set to launch an entry-level roadster, which could hit the market sometime in 2016 under the 718 imprint. All that’s known at the moment is the vehicle will be based on the Boxster and be relatively lightweight. Looks like engine configurations are unconfirmed as well, though rumors imply the car will feature a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that generates 286 (210 kW). A 2.5-liter engine with 360 PS (265kW) could be another option made available in the near future. Experts have the entry-level Porsche priced around €39,000.
