Motorola’s taken the precaution to prevent jailbreaks with it’s Droid X smartphone by incorporation a heavy eFuse security system. Any slick hackers looking to mod they’re Droid X is in for severe punishment, as reports indicate the Android “blows a fuse,” leaving the phone corrupted and Motorola as the only repair option. David Ruddoc of Android Police details it a little better:

[So] if the check fails, eFuse corrupts your bootloader, rendering your phone completely useless. To fix it, you must take your phone to a Verizon store and presumably they would have to ship it to a Motorola facility where the necessary hardware exists to resuscitate your device.”
