‘Machete Kills Again’ Trailer Surfaces Even After Sequel Bombs at Box Office

After five weeks in release, Machete Kills has finally ended its theatrical run, bombing ridiculously hard with just an $8 million box office take. A massive cast combined with Hollywood legends and A-list talent did little to draw viewers and even killed a couple of careers along the way: including Lady Gaga, whose latest album ArtPop has lost Interscope nearly $25 million and forced the company to make several layoffs heading into the holidays.

Still in all, that hasn’t stopped franchise creator Robert Rodriguez from finishing the planned trilogy, hence the new trailer for Machete Kills Again. The trailer features Danny Trejo, Michelle Rodriguez, Alexa Vega, Lady Gaga, and an incognitio Leonardo DiCaprio as the ‘Man in the Silver Mask’ (note: Actor subject to change). As you’ll see, the reenacted Empire Strikes Back lightsaber fight alone tells you this was terrible idea for the git-go. But it still makes for terribly good b-movie entertainment. Check it out below.
