Improved Gameplay

Those who’ve played previous Killzone games should be accustomed to the dark and gritty gameplay, with too many allies present by your side and each entry’s design perspective falling short. But this time around, Shadow Fall serves as a much needed change, offering a more open-ended, stealth-based spectrum where leveling up becomes easier since you have multiple ways to complete your objectives.

Your enemies and objectives are dotted through the area, which allows you to approach them in different ways. Stealth remains a popular tactic, but while playing through the game you might find the trigger-flexing approach a little easier to use since now equipped with a hovering robotic ally know as OWL. OWL can zip-line high areas, coming in handy when you need an energy shield or have set off an electric shock to enemies. Make sure to use OWL wisely because failing to do so will get you ripped apart.

Robust Multiplayer

Backed by 10 new maps, the multiplayer mode receives a nice overhaul. You can now create your own custom maps called “Warzones,” which can be shared with other players. You no longer have to worry about unlocking classes, weapons, or abilities as well, with all of these afforded as soon as you start playing. Three classes are present and made easier to interact with: Assault, Scout and Support. You will also see medical abilities from previous games under “Support”. Overall, the experience is fun to engage in.
