The phenomenal response to the Nightmare on Elmstreet remake trailer has been overwhelming and Platinum Dunes is taking that momentum and prepping Jason’s return. Series producers, Brad Fuller and Andrew Form, are aiming for a August 13, 2009 release date, but recently told MovieWeb, “If it does get greenlit, and we are able to mount it in a reasonable amount of time, we will have the film opening on August 13th of 2010.” So Jason’s thirteenth splatterfest isn’t set in stone, but once New Line Cinema sees how much Freddy rakes in at the box office, plans will change ever so quickly.
