Since the untimely death of actor and Fast & Furious franchise star, Paul Walker, moviegoers are left wondering if the upcoming sequel (still in production) will still be released. And if so: Will the movie be altered, or worst case scenario, get cancelled? Lots of what ifs to consider here. While previous reports suggest the Fast & Furious 7 will indeed keep moving, close sources informed TMZ that Walker’s death has definitely halted shooting as he was scheduled to shoot several keys scenes in the upcoming weeks. Word is when Universal Pictures will at some point bring the entire cast to work, though major script rewrites could be possible due to the recent version focusing heavily on Walker’s character. Another issue being brought up is the possibility of Fast 8, another feature Walker has signed on for. Hard decisions to make.
Rest in Peace, Paul!
Update: Universal Pictures recently confirmed production on The Fast and Furious 7 has been halted indefinitely.
