When it comes to creating smartphone prototypes, no one goes harder than an Apple fanboy. But in tipping our hats to some of the previous iPhone creations designed in the past, we’ve stumbled on what is by far the coolest and most badass concept yet. This is the iPhone Air created by Sam Beckett. Dope, right?

Beckett went on to build the concept using nothing more than Adobe Illustrator, After Effects, Final Cut Pro X, and Photoshop. To call that impressive would be an insult to the creator’s talents. Just saying. His self-made video below borrows cues from an iPhone 5S commercial that aired last year, which showcases the device coming together in pieces. Only difference here is we get Beckett’s interpretation of the next-gen iPhone: features and specs included. Some of the prominent hardware upgrades mentioned are a 4.7-inch (1920×1080) sapphire crystal display, 10MP sensor with f/1.8 aperture, and 7mm thickness. Impressive.

Granted the Cupertino Clan would never consider making such a device, there’s no denying the iPhone Air would make for one sick smartphone. Wouldn’t you agree?
