Mazda Hazumi
The subcompact concept is a smaller platform that previews the next Mazda2 and hosts a bevy of features from its new 1.5-liter “Skyactiv-D” four-cylinder diesel engine to the high-tech infotainment system controlled via tablet. Its forward-design treatment features a floating grill, expansive intakes, and new T-shaped DRL light guides. All good stuff, though the sweet-looking interior is what makes it a stunner.
Hyundai Intrado
Featuring a lighter and smaller version of the company’s patented fuel-cell technology, which can push a vehicle past 372 miles on a full tank of hydrogen, the Hyundai Intrado stands out as a feat in energy-consumption auto engineering. The vehicle boasts a lightweight and sleek aerodynamic frame that the company says is “far more than a styling exercise,” while the interior features innovative construction highlighted by a carbon fiber frame. Consider it the “compact crossover car” of the future.
