Leaked magazine shots from the February issue of Official Playstation Magazine reveal major details on Gran Turismo 5. Apparently it will include another racing league: the Indy Racing League. This makes that the third major league that will be introduced to the series, alongside NASCAR and World Rally Championship. The one-seat Indy-style cars have appeared in GT games before, but not the league itself.
The other major announcement made by OPM is that for the first time in the series, every track in GT5 will have both night and day races, along with wet weather. OPM also clarified on some previously announced details, such as a 1000-car roster having fully modeled cockpits. As previously confirmed, only about 170 of them will have interior damage modeling. Finally, the game will utilize the PS3’s ability to render on multiple monitors, too. GT5 is coming out in March in Japan and supposedly the summer everywhere else across the world.
