Yea, GM has yet to make an official announcement, but an unnamed source claims the auto giant is already hard at work creating the sixth-gen Chevy Camaro for a 2016 production release window. The same source claims the future muscle car will sport a Gen V 6.2 liter V8 engine, a direct-injected version of Chevy’s small block with fewer displacements. We might also be looking at upgraded transmission in the form of a 6-speed to 7-speed manual and a dual-clutch automatic. Sounds dope to us. Expect to hear an official announcement come the 2012 Detroit Auto Show.
