LG Hecto Projector
Thought the concept of laser projects were done? Think again. LG looks to reveal the Hecto this January, which is aimed at the home entertainment market. The projector should have 1080p video output and can create a 100-inch screen from only 22 inches away. Other notable features include a digital tuner, 10W built-in speakers, three HDMI ports, RS-232 port, and Smart TV functionality via LG’s Magic Remote.
Samsung “Unprecedent” TV
Samsung has been known for dominating the mobile scene and now it’s time for them to take over the TV market. The company teased the tech world by showing a couple of new TV designs, posting a press release last week boasting that “true innovation of TV design is coming up with an unprecedented new TV shape and timeless gallery design.” The accompanying image shows a rectangle that looks like a widescreen HDTV turned on its side ala portrait mode. Sadly, no other details have been disclosed. Guess we’ll just have to wait and see what they show at CES.
