EA kicked off their less-than-stellar press conference with a bittersweet twist—announcing the next Star Wars: Battlefront title—with no full footage. Fans have been waiting ever since last year’s reveal, but in reality, EA only brought a development trailer to E3 2014.
The teaser showed us exactly how they captured the environments and models, but only showed small glimpses of actual footage from the game. Needless to say, many found the company’s presser to be disappointing, as EA failed to divulge any new footage for the upcoming Battlefront: Frontline as well. And with their exclusive game contract now a year old, the publisher has yet to show us something impressive revolving around the Star Wars universe.
Does this indicate a lack of commitment or is this just a slow process to hopefully bring us wonderful games? We will have to wait to find out. Though as of right now, EA has only angered the Star Wars community. Just sayin’!
