The Cisco Cius strives to consummate what exactly a professional’s tablet should be. So what’s a business-minded tablet do? Well Cisco seems to believe In HD videoconferencing, in particular, with a front-facing camera that allows 30fps of 720p video in addition to a rear-facing 5MP camera. The Cius briefcase weighs in at 1.15lbs and runs the Android OS (though it’s not clear what iteration). Also unclear are pricing (though it should be under $1000) and general availability (sometime in the first three months of 2011). But there’s clearly room for tablets in the enterprise space, especially since videoconferencing has always seemed best-suited to business meetings anyway.
