GM gives its classic corvette some love on its 60th Anniversary with the announcement of the special edition 2013 Corvette 427 Convertible, which is billed as a “drop-top version” of the timeless Corvette Z06. The 2013 model steals the carbon fiber fenders and front splitter, along with the carbon fiber hood from the Z06 Carbon Edition, while tackling the Michelin PS2 tires from the ZR1.
The collector’s edition is powered by the Z06’s 7.0-liter, 505-bhp LS7 engine, rushing from 0 to 60 mph in 3.8 seconds and reaching a top speed of 190 mph. The 2013 Corvette 427 Convertible dons a Blue Diamond leather-wrapped interior with suede accents and 60th anniversary logos splashed on the steering wheel, head restraints, and wheel center caps. Definitely feeling the blue and white finish.
Place your bids on the first collector edition 2013 Corvette 427 convertible at the Barrett Jackson Auction in Scottsdale, Arizona on January 21st. Yes, this Saturday. It’s also worth noting that all auction proceeds will benefit the Drive to End Hunger program—Jeff Gordon and the AARP Foundation’s hunger drive.
