Ultra Super Street Fighter IV

This weekend, the City of Sin held the biggest fighting game tournament in the world: EVO, which is where the best of the best come to compete and showcase their fighting game skills. On top of seeing incredible fights across several different fighting game franchises from Injustice to Mortal Kombat, Capcom managed to surprise everyone in attendance with the announcement of the next installment in the Street Fighter series. Introducing Ultra Super Street Fighter IV—a new game that will feature five new characters and six new stages.

The latest group of fighters to join the team will be Poison, Hugo, Elena, Rolento, and one secret, all-new playable character. In addition, Capcom will be introducing new animations to each of the new players, along with blending in each one’s unique play styles. The roster count is now 44. Impressive. On top of that, you have six new battle environments (including Pitstop 109, Cosmic Elevator, Half Pipe, and more) to engage in.

Owners of Super Street Fighter IV or Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition will be able to download the title as a $14.99 digital upgrade. Users who purchase the retail or full download version of the game for $39.99 will receive all previous costume DLC released for the series.

Ultra Street Fighter IV is scheduled for release on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC in North America and across Europe in early 2014. Keep a look out for more details in the coming months.
